Kristin Hannah’s award-winning, best-selling novels, including the international hit The Nightingale, celebrate the all-too-often forgotten power of women across history. Her newest book, The Women, tells the story of one woman coming of age in the turbulence of 1960s America. In the process, Hannah shines a light on the story of all women who put themselves in harm’s way to help others.

Across all her work, Hannah celebrates the all-too-often forgotten power of women across history.

Hannah’s newest novel, The Women, tells the story of a woman coming of age in the 1960s. An intimate portrait of a turbulent, transformative time in America, the novel explores a generation who were scarred on the battlefields only to return to a divided nation. Through the story of one woman, Hannah shines a light on the story of all women who put themselves in harm’s way to help others. Hannah puts it best when she writes “Women can be heroes, too.”

Yangsze Choo is the New York Times best-selling author of The Ghost Bride (now a Netflix original series) and The Night Tiger, a Reese;s Book Club Pick, and a Big Jubile Read selection for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
