Gloria Steinem is a writer, speaker, activist and feminist organizer. She co-founded New York Magazine and Ms. Magazine, where she remains a consulting editor. She produced an HBO documentary on child abuse, a Lifetime film about the death penalty, and WOMAN, a series of eight Viceland documentaries about violence against women across the world. Steinem is the subject of The Education of a Woman, a biography by Carolyn Heilbrun, and HBO’s Gloria: In Her Own Words. Her own books include My Life on the Road, Revolution from Within, Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions, and Moving Beyond Words. In 2013, President Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor.

Amy Richards is a writer, producer, and organizer. Most recently, she produced the Emmy-nominated series WOMAN for Viceland and curated a series of talks to accompany Annie Leibovitz’s traveling exhibition WOMEN. Richards was a consulting producer on the HBO documentary Gloria Steinem: In Her Own Words and an advisor on the PBS documentary MAKERS: Women Making America. She is the author of Manifesta: Young Women, Feminism, and the Future. She works closely with Gloria Steinem on her writing.
