Dr. Andrew Weil is a pioneer in the field of integrative medicine.  His views on leading a healthy life, philosophy on aging, and critique of western medicine and health care have been widely read in his many best-selling books including Spontaneous Healing, 8 Weeks to Optimum Health, Eating Well for Optimum Health, and Healthy Aging.  Combining a Harvard education and a lifetime of practicing natural and preventive medicine, Dr. Weil is the founder and director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center.  His forthcoming book True Food, includes recipes from his restaurant True Food Kitchen, as well as essays on topics ranging from farmers’ markets and proper proportions to identifying true whole grains and the lifelong benefits of following an anti-inflammatory diet.
