City Arts & Lectures is proud to present a theatrical version of Adam Gopnik’s New Yorker essay “The Driver’s Seat: What We Learn When We Learn to Drive.”  The work will be performed by Word for Word Performing Arts Company and will star Adam Gopnik as himself.
Word for Word Performing Arts Company is an ensemble whose mission is to tell great stories with elegant theatricality, staging performances of classic and contemporary fiction.  They have collaborated with City Arts & Lectures on a performance of Woody Allen’s “The Kuglemass Episode” and David Foster Wallace’s The Pale King.
