American Singer-Songwriter Paul Simon is well-known for his collaboration in the 1960s with Art Garfunkel – their hits included The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, and their fifth and final album, Bridge Over Troubled Water. Simon continued on to a successful solo career where he expanded his music beyond traditional American folk rock in platinum selling albums like Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints. Simon was twice inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
On June 6, 2016, Simon came to the Nourse Theater in San Francisco to talk to Dave Eggers about the physics of sound, his writing process and much more. He visited City Arts & Lectures on the heels of performing at the Greek Theater in Berkeley.
