Since establishing herself as an iconic alt-country voice with her 1997 album, The Virginian, Neko Case has written and performed music across genres. She’s a founding member of the indie-rock band The New Pornographers and authors the newsletter, Entering The Lung, that chronicles her day-to-day life. Case’s new memoir, The Harder I Fight The More I Love You, recounts her poverty-stricken childhood, obsessive desires, and indispensable friendships that reflects on the way art and music and a deep connection to nature guided her journey towards stardom.
Hanif Abdurraqib is a poet, essayist, and music critic. His newest essay collection, There’s Always This Year: On Basketball and Ascension, traces his relationship with basketball while uncovering how we decide who is deserving of success.
