Poet, novelist, podcast host, advice columnist and heroine to anyone with “issues,” Melissa Broder is author of the novels The Pisces and Milk Fed, and the poetry collection Last Sext. In her podcast Eating Alone in My Car, Broder rants about everything from mortality to Poptarts to depression while wielding a dark humor that is honest and open. Her other writing includes the “So Sad Today” column for Vice, the “Beauty and Death” column at Elle.com, and the forthcoming novel Death Valley. She is the winner of a Pushcart Prize for Poetry.

Kate Schatz is the New York Times bestselling author of the “Rad Women” book series, and Do the Work! An Antiracist Activity Book, co-written with W. Kamau Bell. She is the co-founder of Solidarity Sundays, a political action network that hosts monthly “activist house parties” in dozens of cities nationwide aimed at showing women how to take meaningful, coordinated political action. An educator for more than fifteen years, Schatz has worked with a wide range of age groups teaching Women’s Studies, creative writing, and journalism.
