The 29th Annual Literary Events Series Benefiting the 826 Valencia College Scholarship Program presents nine Herbst Theater conversations with celebrated writers. David Byrne will moderate a forum dedicated to bicycle advocacy. Margaret Atwood will host a special evening of music and performance inspired by her new novel, The Year of the Flood. A diverse group of talented writers, Nick Hornby, Joyce Carol Oates, Jonathan Lethem, Zoë Heller and Barbara Kingsolver, bring their latest novels to light and explore their inspiration and process. Michael Chabon will discuss his forthcoming essay collection, Manhood for Amateurs: The Pleasures & Regrets of a Husband, Father & Son, with longtime New Yorker writer Adam Gopnik.
