Bestselling novelist and award-winning journalist Anna Quindlen has gained an enduring audience with her wit, warmth, and level-headedness. Quindlin’s work has appeared in many of America’s most influential newspapers and magazines. In 1992, Quindlen’s New York Times column, “Public and Private,” won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. From 1999 to 2009, Quindlen wrote the widely read bi-weekly column “The Last Word” for Newsweek. The column addressed issues of the personal and political with insight and compassion. Quindlen is the author of five bestselling works of fiction including Blessings, Object Lesson, One True Thing, Black and Blue, and Rise and Shine. In 1994 One True Thing was made into a feature film starring Meryl Streep and William Hurt. Quindlen is the author of six non-fiction books including Being Perfect, Loud & Clear, Living Out Loud, and How Reading Changed My Life. She is also the author of several children’s books.
