Award winning journalist and author Mark Danner has covered
American politics and foreign affairs for the past two decades.
He has written extensively about the war on terror, U.S. policy
on torture, and the war in Iraq. He has reported from Central America,
the Balkans, Haiti and the Middle East. Mark Danner is a regular
contributor to the New York Review of Books, and was a long
time staff writer for The New Yorker. Danner is the author
of four bestselling books, The Secret Way to War, The Road to
Illegitimacy, Torture and Truth, and The Massacre at El Mozote.
Danner is a former editor for Harper's Magazine and the New
York Times Magazine. He is a professor of journalism at the
University of California Berkeley and Bard College. In his forthcoming
book, Stripping Bare the Body: Politics, Violence, War, Danner
writes from and about the world's war zones.
New York Times Op-Ed columnist Frank Rich was the
Times chief theater critic from 1980 to 1993. His memoir
Ghost Light reveals how theater gave Rich a new way of understanding
the world during his childhood and how it has sustained him in adult
life. Rich's work also includes commentary in Esquire, The New
Republic, and Time, and bestselling books like The
Greatest Story Ever Sold.
