One of the most acclaimed travel writers of our time, Paul Theroux is the author of Ghost Train to the Eastern Star, Dark Star Safari, Riding the Iron Rooster, The Great Railway Bazaar, The Old Patagonian Express, and The Happy Isles of Oceania. In his forthcoming book, Deep South: Four Seasons on the Back Roads, he turns his unflinching eye on an American South too often overlooked. Theroux is also the author of  the highly acclaimed novels Blinding Light, Hotel Honolulu, My Other Life, Kowloon Tong, and The Mosquito Coast.

 

Roy Eisenhardt practiced law for twelve years in San Francisco. He was President of the Oakland Athletics and served as the Executive Director for the California Academy of Sciences. He teaches at UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.
